The Akwaaba African Ensemble performed music from Uganda's Bunyoro, Busoga, and Buganda kingdoms. OU's World Music Concert was held on March 31 in Varner Recital Hall. This is Ford's first year of study at IU on a graduate fellowship - he graduated from OU with a double major in saxophone performance and music technology. This award is a special recognition of musical understanding and technical proficiency demonstrated in recital and involves a three-step process (the hearing, the recital, and a special hearing by the All-Faculty Performer’s Certificate Committee).
